Pellet cooling machine also called pellet cooler is widely used to cool the finished pellets. The pellets just produced from the pellet mill have a temperature of about 85°C and a moisture content of 13% to 17%. The feed pellets at this time are fragile and should be cooled and dehydrated in time to lower their temperature to close to room temperature (about above room temperature 3℃～5℃), the moisture drops to 12%～13%。(i.e. safe storage of moisture), making it easy to crush, process, store and transport. A pellet cooler is usually used to perform this processing step for big pellet making production line.
The cooling capacity of pellets depends on the size, density, temperature and composition of pellets. TISI Pellet cooling machine includes screen mesh, has a dwell time of approximately 10-15 minutes, and has a rotary airlock installed on the top of the machine. TISI Pellet cooling machine is counter flow designed and cools pellets rationally, and it can avoid the cracking or breaking of pellets. For counterflow coolers, the most important airflow parameters are: air volume, air pressure and air speed.
The heat and moisture in the pellet feed are taken away through the air medium, and sufficient air volume can ensure the output of the counterflow cooler. The reference cooling air volume for different specifications of pellet feed is shown in Table 1.
